Event with Salina MPA Committee

On Saturday, March 23rd, at 5:30 PM in the Polyfunctional Hall of Malfa, a meeting will aim at contributing to the start of the process for establishing the Marine Protected Area of Salina.

The event will involve the Mayors of Salina and local stakeholders. Marine Protected Areas represent an opportunity for the protection of the marine environment, fisheries resources, as well as social and economic development for local communities.

The meeting is organized by the Salina Marine Protected Area Committee and is open to everyone. Blue Marine Foundation and Sicily Environment Fund, support the event and the committee’s journey.
