Sicily Environment Fund scoping report

In February 2022, The Conservation Collective commissioned a preliminary to develop a scoping report on the region’s natural environmental state which was undertaken by Gaia Agnello, with contribution from Ambra Messina. It highlights key environmental threats and opportunities in the region and identifies key individuals and environmental organisations as the local environmental champions’ initiatives and potential projects that the Sicily Environment Fund’s (SEF) could fund during its first grant giving steps on the island.                      

The report forms the basis of SEF’s initial grant giving strategy, and in the years to follow, the direction of the fund’s activities will continue to evolve under the guidance of the SEF’s scientifically-rigorous advisory council, in response to timely environmental issues.
